The Music Academy offers Private, Group, and Family lessons. Whether you are looking for one-on-one instruction or a fun peer-based learning environment, the Music Academy can accommodate all of your musical needs. We have availability tailored to fit your family’s busy schedule.
All of our instructors have an accredited music degree and are actively working not only as teachers but also as professional performers and musicians. Our teachers' energetic and passionate outlook on music is contagious, giving their students a love for music that will last a lifetime.
Every instructor chooses a curriculum that fits each individual student's unique learning style and personality. All students receive a weekly practice sheet and materials for their next lesson. After every lesson, the instructor will have a general overview with the parent concerning the material taught that day, what specifics the student should be focusing on during that week of practice, and where the lessons will go from there. We encourage parents to speak with their child’s instructor if there is something specific that they want their child to be learning or working towards as a goal.
We currently offer lessons in:
- Bass Guitar
- Woodwinds (Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute)
- Brass (Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba)
- Strings (Viola, Violin, Cello, Bass)
Our standard student pricing for private lessons is as follows:
30 minute weekly lessons - $130 per month
60 minute weekly lessons - $230 per month
**Group Class pricing ranges between $6-$12 per class
**Garage Band/Musical Theater prices average $25 per class
**We offer multiple levels of discounts including family/sibling, homeschooling, and long distance driving.
Lessons are priced on an “average billing” over the course of a calendar year. Our annual calendar with closure dates is published in the fall and is available for all students and parents. For most recent calendar updates, please check our online calendar here.
Make up lessons
If the studio is notified of a student absence 24 hours in advance, a make-up lesson will be scheduled within the week (or the following week, if available). If a make-up lesson is warranted due to an instructor absence and a make-up time with the instructor is not available, the tuition for that lesson will be credited toward the following month’s tuition. No make-up lessons will be granted to clients who did not give notice of the absence at all. No make-ups will be granted for absences from group class sessions. Students may not substitute tuition payments for make-up lessons.
