Our Focus On Teaching Is The Key To Success
We believe that a well-rounded curriculum will take advantage of the strengths of both private and group instruction, and we work hard to ensure that your lessons, your classes, and your performance opportunities are approached with the professional attention they need for your child to succeed! We are here to make sure that you are able to learn music in a fun and professional environment that is built around your family's needs with as little interruption as possible ensuring each student's success by focusing on 3 key components!
- Professionally Degreed Teachers:
We employ over 20 University trained instructors allowing our school to teach all major musical disciplines. Most of our staff have their Masters or Doctorate degrees and have been teaching an average of over 5 years. A long list of qualified substitute instructors ensures that if/when a teacher is absent your learning is uninterrupted!
- Curriculum Instruments and Accessories in stock:
Our teachers pick the best curriculum for your young musician to follow. We offer all the books or sheet music your student might need. We also special order teaching materials on behalf of our students, saving you time and money. We maximize online resources by having computers and wifi available for our teachers and students to utilize in the classroom and at home.
- Flexible Scheduling:
Families take advantage of consolidated teaching schedules among siblings. We also offer Make Up Lessons in the event that you are absent for any reason.
Please continue reading below to learn what we do differently from other in-home teachers and studios and why we are the best choice for your family.
NO long term contract
Our "Month To Month" terms offer flexible schedules & payment options. If at any time you need to suspend your lessons, all we require is a thirty day notice in the form of our Suspending Lessons document. This will allow us time to give proper notification to your teacher and make the necessary adjustments to your account.
At the Music Academy we understand that tough economic times are at hand. We are committed to providing quality programming at a price that is affordable without skimping on the quality of each student's music experience. The Music Academy offers easy monthly billing that can be taken from a debit/credit card or direct deposit. A discount for tuition is also available for extra classes and/or family members, home school students, and even for long distance driving!
Choice of multiple teachers
Here at the Music Academy we have over 20 teachers and are able to match the best teacher with your personality, age, experience, & learning style.
Your choice of learning environments
Your preference is key, therefore we offer Private Lessons, Family Classes, and Group Classes! This provides the best of both worlds in order to meet the needs that fits each student best.
Performances, Recitals, Festivals and Competitions
Multiple performances are offered each semester to show your skills off to friends and family! We also host and participate in several festivals in order to give you the opportunity to be exposed to many different venues.
Private Lessons ensure that a student has the full attention of their teacher and is taught at a level best suited to them. We offer private lessons for 30-minutes or 1-hour sessions, and our students typically enroll for four lessons per month.
We offer a variety of Garage Bands. Our Garage Band program is designed to give students an opportunity to play modern music in an ensemble setting. Our Garage Band students are trained how to properly use musical equipment in a traditional rock, pop, country or jazz band setting. They are taught the basics of stage performance and recording techniques through multiple programs in which they will gig and spend time in a recording studio. The goal of our Garage Band program is to build each musician's confidence in performing.
Concerts and Regular Recitals
Recitals and Concerts are held year round instead of only once or twice a year. Participation in music festivals, competitions, and workshops are also available.
Our studio is open for lessons Monday through Thursday from Noon to 8:00pm and Saturdays 9:00 am to 3:00pm. We understand that juggling the schedules of multiple children can be tricky; therefore, we offer the option of scheduling multiple students within the same time frame to maximize efficiency. This means less driving time for your family and more opportunities for music making!
Easy Make Up Lessons
Our policy allows for every student to make-up an hour worth of missed lessons every month. This ensures continued progress and much grace when trying to juggle all of life's other activities. Here is our updated policy:
"If the studio is notified of a student absence at least 24 hours in advance, a make-up lesson will be scheduled within the week (or the following week, if available). If a make-up lesson is warranted due to an instructor absence, and a make-up time with the instructor is not available, the tuition for that lesson will be credited toward the following month’s tuition. No make-up lessons will be granted to clients who did not give notice of the absence at all. No make-ups will be granted for absences from group class sessions. Students may not substitute tuition payments for make-up lessons. Limit one make-up lesson per month."
Exclusive Classes for currently enrolled students
Master Classes, Work Shops, and Performance Classes are offered year round exclusively for our students.
